Dr. Assia Fain is a graduate of two dental schools: The first one was in Moscow, Russia and the second was Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. She also successfully completed her orthodontic residency and post-doctoral thesis and obtained a Ph.D in Orthodontics in Moscow.
Dr. Fain spent many years being a head of Orthodontic Department at the Moscow Center of Pediatric Dentistry with children with cleft lip and palate before moving to the United States in 1997. Prior to entering Boston University Dental School, while taking her Board tests she worked as a Dental Assistant and Hygienist.
Dr. Fain graduated in 2002 with a degree in General Dentistry from Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. Upon graduation she worked as an associate to other dentists, practicing family dentistry. In 2004 Dr Fain completed 2 year continuing education program in Early Orthodontic treatment through American Orthodontic Society.
In 2008 she achieved her dream of being an owner and practicing dentist; she purchased Lakeside Family Dental.
Each year, Dr. Fain attends more than 100 hours of continuing education advanced training. This allows her to bring into her practice the most current treatments and most advanced technology available; thereby assuring that her patients at Lakeside Family Dental are able to experience state of the art treatment.
Dr. Assia Fain is married to Professor Vitaly Fain, Ph.D., a renowned specialist in Artificial Intelligence. They have one son, Arthur, 18, who is in his freshman year at Adelphi University; where he is studying to become a dentist!
