Dr. Mateja is a graduate of Loma Linda School of Dentistry; she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1982.
In 1984, as Director of the Medically Indigent Adult Program at San Bernardino County Hospital, Dr. Mateja helped to establish the first dental facility to care for medically indigent patients in the county.
Dr. Mateja opened her private practice in 1985, at the present location, to serve the residents of Rancho Cucamonga and surrounding communities.
In addition to her aesthetic & restorative practice, Dr. Mateja is a faculty member at Loma Linda Dental School where she holds the position of Associate Professor, Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. Mateja is active in community service, in the Tri County Dental Society and is a past Board member for the Loma Linda Dental School Alumni Association.
When not in the office, Dr. Mateja can be found at U.S.C. in their Odontics program, attending many continuing education courses in advanced aesthetic, restorative and dental implant procedures throughout Southern California. An avid golfer, she can be found on the links on many Inland Empire courses. She has also been known to spend time in her garden, which is lovingly called "the forest", where she has Coconut Orchids, Staghorn Fern, Kangaroo Paws and a striped tabby called Bowser.
