Drs. Stephen Chan and Aidan Phan have earned both their DDS and MD degrees and completed years of additional extensive training required to specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Unlike most dentists, our doctors received six years of surgical training after dental school and are also credentialed to administer various types of anesthetic and sedation, including general, oral and IV. Surgical success depends on training and experience. Our doctors perform thousands of surgical cases per year, as opposed to most dentists who may attempt a few surgical cases during the course of their general practices. Because of this reason, our doctors may have expertise and treatment options not available at most general dentists’ offices.
