James Howell DDS, known as Lanny, attended Lamar University where he earned his BS in biology. He continued his education and received his DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1979.
A Nederland native, Dr. Howell spent the last 35 years practicing in the Mid-County area.

In his spare time, he enjoys being outside, spending time with his grandchildren, doing yard work, and any type of hunting.
