Family Dental Group is a four-location group dental practice providing high quality dental care through the Hudson Valley in Brewster, Fishkill, Jefferson Valley and New York City since 1980. We seek to provide our patients affordable and professional care, in a family-friendly, patient-oriented environment. We cover essentially all specialty areas ensuring a full spectrum of care for our patients including general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. We participate in most dental insurance plans.

We enjoy knowing our patients, and providing patient care in a gentle and pleasant manner, with a healthy dose of fun whenever possible. Our providers focus on calming the fears many people experience when going to the dentist. Patient comfort, while providing the highest quality care, is our priority.

Biography
Dr. Gelbart graduated from New York University in 1975 with a B.S. degree, and went on to graduate from the New York University School of Dentistry in 1979. In 1980 he established Family Dental Centers in upstate New York, creating practice groups in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, Brewster, Yonkers, Yorktown Heights and Manhattan.

Dr. Gelbart is a former NYU Clinical Assistant Professor, having trained NYU dental students for more than seven years. His continuing dental and medical practice education includes attendance at numerous symposiums and educational forums in implants, sinus lifts and bone augmentation at NYU and The Connecticut Implant Institute. He has also attended practice seminars in the rescue and repair of implants and implant-blades. In 2008, he attended the prestigious Vegas Institute for Cosmetic and Neuromuscular Dentistry.

Dr. Gelbart focuses on keeping up-to-date with all of the latest advancements in dentistry and medical technology, enabling him to practice at the highest level of dentistry and provide the best quality of care in the field. His expertise ranges from the most challenging cosmetic and restorative dentistry treatments to the most complicated dental surgeries performed today.

Since placing his first implant in 1991, Dr. Gelbart has been called on to place over 20,000 implants for patients in the US and abroad, with an extremely impressive record of success. His love and enthusiasm for dentistry, along with his amazing skills, have made him a model that his peers emulate and a consummate dental professional.
