Dr. Kim was awarded DMD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She received Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center, where she received training in comprehensive restorative, periodontal and surgical treatments. She then went on and obtained a Certificate in Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, certified in both periodontology and implantology.

Currently, Dr. Kim works as a Periodontist in several private dental offices. She values learning as a lifelong journey, and her utmost goal is to save natural teeth as much as possible. Dr. Kim's Periodontal procedures include gum grafts, extraction, bone grafts, dental implant placement, sinus lift, crown lengthening, osseous/open flap surgeries, guided tissue regeneration, exposure of unerupted teeth, frenectomy, and biopsy. She also holds a teaching position as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she enjoys teaching dental students.

Dr. Kim appreciates and enjoys different cultures. She was born and raised in South Korea but has been to different parts of the world since the age of sixteen. She completed high school in New Zealand and College in Vancouver, Canada, before she received DMD at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kim made trips to Australia, Fiji, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Mongolia, Thailand, and Haiti. A deep understanding of different cultures and broad experiences with different parts of the world helped Dr. Kim to gain a superb understanding of people. Dr. Kim is compassionate, friendly, caring, gentle, and easy to approach. She enjoys making friends with new patients, and she makes them feel comfortable in a dental chair.

Dr. Kim is a mother of two active girls who keep her busy. She likes to spend time with her family and enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, ice skating, and skiing.
